OK, it took over a day before I added new text and pictures. Finally here it is.
We left Tarkwa early to have enough time in Elmina. Saturday is a buzy day in Ghana. everybode goes to markets, clean cars, repair their houses and so on. This also menas many cars and long travels. We reached Elmina in time and had a great visit to this former Portugese, Dutch, Brittish castle. For a Dutch person not to be proud of . The castle covers the "door of no return". Slaves were captured all over Western Africa by seveal countries. Elmina was a major city for the Dutch. The slaves were "stored" in a bad situation and via this door directed to the ships towards America. Millions of people have been shipped from here. In the evening we spend our time in the bay resort swimming in the ocean and enjoing the evening. Sunday we went to the Kakum Rainforest. One of the last original sites in Ghana. Here we walked the "Canopy Walkway" it's like Gieten in Netherlands but much more impressing. You walk at 40-70m high. After that we continued with a hike into the forest with very interesting stories about the "natural medicine" from our guide. Then Lunch at hans' botel, a partially floating hotel and restaurant with crocodiles around.
a great time, a great day and now back to work.
JinHo and I make good progress. We are on schedule.
