The team has worked hard saturday to make life in the Orphanage angels of hope better. Our team raised some funds to buy the required paint and materials. We also engaged a professional electrician and a painter. The general manager of our Hotel de Hilda promised to bring some tools ald told us he would help as well. What a surprise when he came with a whole team! We were able to clean the place, paint the most important walls, freshed up the school room, made the place saver by removing dangerous electricity, mounted new lights and put tiles on the wall in the kitchen. To have not too many kids around some of our group made an entertainement program with the children. Later in the afternoon the whole group went to the local football field (see blogs from
Beth and
Bill) soon.
At the end of the day we have handed over some school stuff for the children, kitchen stuff, rice, oil andmore. Now it is up to the Orphanage team to keep their world clean and nice!!
Today, Sunday a walk and work for the Assembly. More info tomorrow...eeehhhhh tuesday.
